The Bird Room

My bird room is 12’x25’ and consists of English Style box cages with punch bar cage fronts that are 18x12.  Every bird is housed one bird per cage because I believe that this is the best way for keeping young birds.  This method will insure that each bird will develop to its’ fullest potential without having to compete for space or food.  All overyear hens are placed in 7-foot flight cages for exercise and to build stamina for the breeding season.  There is enough room to house 130 birds.  There’s also an air cleaner to help keep the bird room virus and dust free which is very important for the health and respiratory system of the birds.  Ventilation and proper air circulation are very important items of concern in a quality bird room.
